Im reluctant in sharing my personal aches in life because I am always aware of the enormous privilege I have compared to millions of others. I’ve seen the hardship of survivors of sex trafficking, of poor families struggling to feed their children, people not being able to pay their medical bills, abused children and women, people suffering of mental health issues, abandoned elderly and the list of people who are truly suffering sadly goes on and on. I have a lot to be grateful for but here I am admitting that this year has been quite crap and I couldn’t get myself out of this inner pain. And the more I got sucked into that pain, the motivation to pull myself out was decreasing. But what I have learnt is that every thing (as small as it may be) that you do for yourself is adding to your healing just like any negativity contributes to your inner pain. For me this is yoga, exercising, eating healthy, meditation, chanting, and chatting with friends. This morning I unexpectedly ran much further than I’ve done in a long time.
