Food is made up of essential macronutrients which include protein, carbohydrate and fat that not only offer calories to fuel the body and give it energy but play specific roles in maintaining health. Protein provides the body with amino acids required for growth, development, repair and maintenance of body tissues and is found in meat, fish, seafood, eggs, soybeans and other legumes. Carbohydrates provide energy and fuel the body. Foods such as beans, corn, root vegetables and fruits, just to name a few, provide carbohydrates. Dietary fat, which is found in coconut, nuts, milk, cheese, meat and fish, provides structure to cells and cushions membranes to help prevent damage. A balanced diet consists of having all these macronutrients, however each individual's needs may differ as to the proportions of each. One size doesn't fit all.

Want to know what shapes your life? Let's have a chat about pleasure VS pain. Why do I avoid running? 🏃‍♀️ Mostly because it’s painful Why do I eat half a block of Cadbury dairy milk (occasionally.... 😉)🍫 when the kids have gone to bed? Because it’s the only time I don’t have to share. Ummm... I mean because it’s pleasurable, too. Why do people procrastinate about changing their circumstances? Why haven’t we created our own future? Why isn’t everyone an entrepreneur? The best way to explain it is this ✨ We spend our whole lives analysing what the subject will bring us - pleasure or pain. If it’s painful, we avoid it, and if it brings pleasure, we desire more. That’s why people overeat, and why I hate running. What I’m trying to say is that we set out to avoid pain, but in doing so, sometimes we miss out on some of the best adventures that life has to offer. We are so scared of failure (because we think it will cause us pain), we’re scared of judgement (because we think it will make us feel rejected, which would feel painful), we are scared of wasting time (because time can never be replenished, and losing a valuable resource is painful) etc. that we don’t even dare to try 😭 So instead of looking at something and only seeing pain, which we will most likely try to avoid, see if you can shift your perspective! I think this is also a great way to try and get your potential leads to reframe their thinking! Example: “I’m scared of what people will think of me”. What they really mean: “I’m scared of people thinking less of me. It will make me feel rejected. Rejection is painful” Your Response: “how would it make you feel to spend the rest of your life, living a mediocre life, just so that you can remain clear of judgement? How would it feel to never achieve any of your goals? How would it feel to never be able to grow? How would it feel to settle?” See the other side of pain? I dare say the response would be something like “oh wow, I didn’t think of it like that. That would be awful”.
